Asian Military Balance
|
| The Asian military balance section provides a wide range of reports that provide a net assessment of the military trends in Asia, and a detailed statistical analysis of Asian military efforts and forces. It combines data on the trends in defense efforts, spending, procurement and RDT&E, manpower, and land, air, naval and the proliferation of long-range missiles and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons. The sources include a wide range of reports by the US Department of Defense, State Department, US intelligence community and data adapted from the annual Military Balance of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. Regional Overviews [Asia] These reports provide a summary overview of the military balance in Asia. The subregional reports that follow explore the balance in more depth within that subregion.
