The Iraqi ambassador to the United States, Samir Sumaida'ie, spoke at CSIS as part of its Statesmen's Forum series. The ambassador addressed a number of issues, including benchmarks and timetables, Iraq's relations with its neighbors, extremist elements within the country, and oil output. Anthony Cordesman, who holds the Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy at CSIS, moderated the event.
