CSIS hosted Henry A. Crumpton, the Ambassador-at-Large for counterterrorism at the Department of State. He discussed the importance of ambassadors in the field in winning this new war against asymmetrical threats and the need for diplomatic relations at global, regional, national, and local levels. John Hamre, president and CEO of CSIS, introduced the speakers.
