Dr. Patrick Fitch delivered his first public presentation as Laboratory Director of the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center, a new high-containment biological facility nearing completion at Ft. Detrick in Frederick, MD. In his presentation, Dr. Fitch discussed NBACC's role in the biosecurity community while providing some background information about how the Center's mission was shaped. Dr. Fitch is introduced by Dr. Gerald Epstein, Senior Fellow for Science and Security in the CSIS Homeland Security Program.
The Science and Security Seminar Series is an initiative of the CSIS Homeland Security Program to highlight technical issues with important significance to the national and homeland security communities and to provide an interdisciplinary forum to investigate them in depth.
