Dr. Adekeye Adebajo, Executive Director of the Centre for Conflict Resolution, Cape Town, South Africa, will discuss how South Africa and Nigeria have both radically transformed their roles in Africa in the last decade, becoming key players in the continent’s development. He has recently released two books entitled South Africa in Africa: The Post-Apartheid Era and Gulliver's Troubles: Nigeria's Foreign Policy After the Cold War that look at the ability of the two regional hegemons to manage Africa’s conflicts through partnerships they have been instrumental in shaping.
