The CSIS Global Aging Initiative and the European Commission (Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs) jointly held a conference on "The Economic and Budgetary Implications of Alobal Aging," where The 2003 Aging Vulnerability Index was the centerpiece and widely hailed as a vital new source of information on the dimensions of the developed world’s retirement crisis.
