Frances Fragos Townsend, assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism, spoke at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery on March 22 as part of CSIS’s first Homeland Security Strategy Forum. She told the audience of current and former government officials, academics, and industry leaders that “our continuing transformation of national and homeland security is not a choice but an absolute imperative.”
