Description:

CSIS's Energy Program held its annual meeting, "The U.S.-Saudi Energy Dialogue: Meeting Future Energy Challenges," on May 1-2, 2006, in Washington, D.C.

The meeting was capped May 2 at CSIS with a Statesmen's Forum with His Excellency Ali al-Naimi, minister of petroleum and mineral resources, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman. Dr. John Hamre, president and CEO of CSIS, moderated the event.


The first day, held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, featured several discussions focusing on the role of technology in developing the global energy complex.
