With the Pacific Forum CSIS since 1989, Jane Skanderup specializes in economic and political relations in the Asia-Pacific region. Skanderup's recent projects include a study of the OECD's efforts to conclude an investment agreement, which included a critique of the new foreign investment liberalization policies in South Korea. Skanderup is currently working on economic development in Okinawa and on Japan-Korea economic relations. She also works on APEC and comparative economic issues in Asia and Latin America. She has authored or coauthored several monographs in the Pacific Forum's Occasional Paper Series, several volumes in the CSIS Significant Issue Series, and articles and op-eds, many published in the Forum's PacNet Newsletter. She received an M.A. in international relations from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University and is fluent in Spanish. |
