LTC Erich W. Randall is the 2008 Army National Guard (ARNG) Senior Service College fellow with the CSIS International Security Program. He is a strategic plans and policy qualified officer with over 21 years of military experience serving in the Regular Army, Army Reserve, and since 1989, in the Army and National Guard. LTC Randall’s basic branch is Infantry where he held positions as a platoon leader, company executive officer, company commander, battalion operations officer, and battalion executive officer. He comes to CSIS from the Army National Guard Directorate of the National Guard Bureau where he served as an equipping branch chief focusing on planning equipment procurement over the FY08-15 POM. LTC Randall has also worked as the chief of ARNG Marketing, USCENTCOM joint plans officer (J5), and chief of strategic communications for the ARNG. He holds a Ph.D. in organization and management from Capella University and an M.S.A. from Central Michigan University.
