Jonathan Heath, an adjunct fellow with the CSIS Mexico Project, is head of research and chief economist for HSBC Mexico. He also teaches at the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City and has written a weekly column for Reforma in Mexico City since 1993. The author of Mexico and the Sexenio Curse (CSIS, 1999), he has taught at Universidad Anáhuac, Universidad Iberoamericano, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and Universidad de las Américas. He graduated in economics from the University of Anahuac and has a graduate degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
