Russ Oates combines his experience in writing, editing, and communication with his education in international affairs to help direct the External Relations office at CSIS. Mr. Oates has worked for a variety of media organizations, including the Associated Press in its Tennessee bureau, Foreign Policy magazine, and nationalgeographic.com. Before joining CSIS in January 2006, he worked in communications for Chemonics International, an international development contractor based in Washington, D.C. He holds a B.A. in journalism and geography from Murray State University and an M.A. from the University of Kentucky’s Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce. |
