Natalia Filipiak is a research associate in the CSIS Europe Program, where she works on issues related to the European Union and transatlantic relations. She studied in Spain and the United Kingdom, and she speaks Spanish in addition to her native Polish. Prior to joining CSIS, Ms. Filipiak worked as a research assistant at the National Council of Women's Organizations, a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., representing over 200 women's groups. She holds a double B.A. in political science and Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also minored in women's studies.
