Roberta Howard Fauriol is the managing editor of the Significant Issues Series—timely books by CSIS authors—for the CSIS Press. Before joining CSIS, she was an editorial consultant working principally with federal agencies and nonprofit organizations, including the National Institute of Corrections and National Defense University. She was the on-site editor with the research and public policy division of the American Correctional Association for several years, where she edited national studies on correctional management and policy development. Ms. Howard holds a B.A. in English from Goucher College and an M.A. in teaching English from Harvard University. She is a graduate of the George Washington University Publications Specialist Program.
