Neal Urwitz serves as media relations coordinator in the Office of External Relations at CSIS. His duties include facilitating media outreach, setting up media interviews, and drafting media advisories and press releases. Additionally, he is the primary External Relations liaison to CSIS programs and is responsible for CSIS events such as the Statesmen’s Forum series and the Eleanor Roosevelt Dialogue. He previously served as program coordinator in the Office of External Relations. Earlier, he interned in the Communications Department of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), America’s pro-Israel lobby, as well as in the office of Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA). Mr. Urwitz holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College, where he graduated with honors in government and legal studies, with a second major in religion.
