Research Assistant, Freeman Chair in China Studies
Eve Cary is project coordinator for the China Balance Sheet project and a research assistant with the Freeman Chair in China Studies. Before joining CSIS, she worked with the World Bank’s East Asia Health, Nutrition, and Population department, as well as its Development Marketplace department, which coordinates annual grassroots innovation grant competitions. Ms. Cary also spent time at the International Finance Corporation and lived in Beijing, China, for several months, studying Mandarin at Beijing University and working at the World Bank’s Beijing office. She is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish and holds a B.S. degree from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service with concentrations in U.S. foreign policy and international politics.
