Matt Dupuis is a research assistant in the CSIS International Security Program, where he works on a variety of projects aimed at preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction. He graduated in December 2006 with a B.A. from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas, where he majored in communication studies, international studies, and minored in political science. While studying abroad in Japan his senior year, a visit to Hiroshima, Japan, and a meeting with an atomic bomb survivor spurred his interest in nonproliferation matters. Dupuis also attended American University’s Washington Semester Program in the spring of 2006 and interned at the Arms Control Association. His research interests include nonproliferation strategies, Middle Eastern and East Asian security issues, and prospects for the establishment of a nuclear weapons–free zone in the Middle East. |
