Kazuyo Kato is an adjunct fellow with the CSIS International Security Program and an associate with Armitage International. From September 2003 to October 2007, she was a research associate with the International Security Program, where she worked on a number of projects related to Asia, including Japan, South Korea, China/Taiwan, and India. Her main areas of interests include U.S. and Japanese political and security issues and U.S.-Japan relations. Prior to joining CSIS, she was an analyst at the Tokyo office of KPMG Japan, where she helped provide consulting services to multinational corporations in industries such as software, financial services, electronics, and metals to establish intra-company transaction strategies. Ms. Kato is a native of Japan but was raised in the United States. She was born in Australia and has also lived in Egypt. She received both her B.A. in international relations and her M.A. in international policy studies from Stanford University in California. |
