Originally from Lima, Peru, Erasmo Sanchez serves as program manager in the CSIS International Security Program. Prior to joining CSIS, he was the budget and personnel coordinator for the Department of Communication at American University in Washington, D.C. He relocated to Washington from London where he earned a master’s degree in business and financial economics at the University of Greenwich in July 2007. He also holds a B.A. in economics and a B.A. in international studies, both with a concentration in Latin America, from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition, he has pursued graduate studies in economics at American University.
