WASHINGTON, December 11, 2007 – The Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) will host a Smart Power Speaker Series event focusing on the results of a new Pew Research Center/ Kaiser Family Foundation 47-country survey on global health and foreign assistance Thursday, December 13 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the CSIS B1 Conference Center (1800 K Street, NW).
Drew Altman, President and CEO of the Kaiser Family Foundation, and Andrew Kohut, President of the Pew Research Center will discuss the surveys findings and answer questions.
This event marks the ninth installation of the Smart Power Speaker Series. The series is part of the ongoing work of the CSIS Commission on Smart Power, chaired by Harvard's Joseph Nye and former deputy secretary of state Richard Armitage. The Commission released its report, “A Smarter, More Secure America” on November 6.
