July 2 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush said he will press the leaders of the world's biggest economies to make good on their commitments to help fund efforts to combat disease and hunger in Africa.

"It's also a G8 with a lot of political leaders who are pretty weak,'' said Michael Green, an analyst at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. The leaders of Japan, France, Canada and Great Britain are suffering low approval ratings in polls, as Bush is in the U.S., he said.
