Conflict Resolution: The CSIS Africa Program closely monitors conflict across the African continent, recognizing that unresolved conflict can lead to grave humanitarian challenges and regional destabilization. Through a series of roundtable discussions and public events, the Africa Program examines these conflicts, assesses the possibilities for U.S. engagement, and provides targeted recommendations for crisis resolution. The program is currently monitoring ongoing conflict in Zimbabwe, the Niger Delta, Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, Ethiopia/Eritrea, and Sudan and its neighboring states.
