As India transforms itself economically and politically, it’s geopolitical role on the world stage is changing too. It is building a strategic allaince with the United States and paying more attention to its neighbors in the Far East. But in a new report published by Deutsche Bank Research, Ambassador Teresita Schaffer and Pramit Mitra point out that a number of factors could retard or reverse this process such as a renewal of active India-Pakistan hostility or a reversal of India’s economic reforms.
