(U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff detailed the growing concern over the threat of Improvised Explosive Devices in America at a CSIS event in October)
As our nation struggles to understand and respond to the global terrorist threat—the most dramatic change in our security landscape since the rise of soviet communism—CSIS has established a new Homeland Security Program to help shape and develop the policies and practices we will need to secure our nation in the years ahead.
