Proliferation Prevention


About:

Research on the international nuclear nonproliferation regime, countries of proliferation concern, and efforts to control the spread of sensitive nuclear technologies. Cooperation with US and international organizations and institutions on all aspects of nonproliferation and nuclear security work.


Projects:


The Congressional Proliferation Prevention Forum brings together Congressional staffers and leading government and non-governmental voices to discuss issues affecting US nonproliferation policy.
   
CSIS has partnered with the Nuclear Threat Initiative to follow up on renewed calls for the United States to recommit itself to the vision of a world free of nuclear weapons.
   
Preventing Proliferation Cascades examines reactions to Iran’s nuclear program and seeks to define ways in which the worst-case scenario for regional stability and the nonproliferation regime can be mitigated.
   
Restoring the International Nonproliferation Consensus examines ways to strengthen international cooperation in the fight against weapons of mass destruction proliferation.
