Continuing tensions with Iran, North Korea, and Pakistan on nuclear issues, and changing political and security dynamics involving key actors such as China, India, Japan, and Taiwan present new challenges and point to a potential reordering of the regional dynamic in the years ahead.

CSIS’s Freeman Chair in China Studies, Japan Chair, South Asia Program, the Intenational Security Program's Asia Division, and Pacific Forum (based in Hawaii) each focus on the domestic affairs and international relations of countries throughout Asia.
