The Russia and Eurasia Program seeks candidates for spring, summer and fall unpaid internships. The program is interested in individuals with a strong background and interest in Russia and Eurasia as a whole and with developed experience and knowledge relevant to ongoing and upcoming projects. Our research includes analysis of economic, political and social developments in Russia,
Ukraine,
Central Asia,
Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Other projects cover broader issues, such as
human rights, gender,
HIV/AIDS, democratization, energy, and U.S. and Russian foreign policy.
Interns will also be expected to support the program by providing research support, staffing and assisting with REP events, proofreading publications, managing web content, and performing some administrative tasks. All candidates should possess excellent research and writing skills that will allow them to gather and synthesize large amounts of information accurately and quickly. Russian language ability is preferred but not necessary.
A CSIS internship provides an excellent opportunity for interested students and graduates to gain hands-on learning experience with a public policy research institute. We accept applications for full time (40 hour per week requirement) and part-time internships (21 hour per week requirement).
While the program is no longer accepting applications for Spring 2007, you are encouraged to apply for the Summer 2007 term. If you are interested in an internship, please return to the
internships and jobs section of this website later to fill out an
online application.
If you have questions about an internship at the Russia and Eurasia Program, please email any inquiries to
REP@csis.org.
