The CSIS Securing Our Future Campaign includes many ways to help build our financial foundation:

  • Contributors may choose to designate their support as discretionary for our Founders Circle or President’s Fund, addressing emerging areas and global challenges where CSIS can have a strategic impact.
  • Or, contributors may choose to give to our Building Fund and consider naming opportunities throughout our world-class headquarters.
  • Or, donors may establish new Endowment Funds that support chairs, centers, fellows, interns, events, or boost the support of existing funds that will perpetuate the important work of CSIS programs.

Founders Circle

The Founders Circle recognizes those individuals who have made a foundational commitment to the future of CSIS with gifts of $5 million or more. These donors will be recognized permanently in one of the most prominent places in the CSIS building, their names engraved on the stone façade of the reception hall.

President’s Fund

A centerpiece of the Securing Our Future Campaign, the President’s Fund will be established in honor of the current CSIS president and CEO and former deputy secretary of defense, Dr. John J. Hamre. This important discretionary funding source will support emerging opportunities, complex policy questions, and urgent needs where CSIS can have immediate impact.
