From a purely military perspective, it is not clear that this labeling exercise has any particular moral, ethnical, or military validity. Israel uses modern weapons and superior force because it has the necessary assets and their use minimizes direct Israeli casualties, while the Palestinians have only limited ability to respond in kind.
