Impact Player: Kim Ki-choon
August 15, 2013
Appointed on August 5, 2013, Kim Ki-choon is South Korean president Park Geun-hye’s new chief of staff. As a member of President Park’s Group of Seven mentor group that supported Park since her first 2007 presidential bid, Kim will continue to serve as the president’s strong ally and advisor. Kim’s trifecta of legislative, judicial, and administrative experience will also be put to the test in order to resolve the current standoff between the ruling Saenuri Party and opposing Democratic Party (DP) regarding the parliamentary probe into the NIS scandal.
