A new analysis by CSIS Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy Anthony Cordesman indicates that Iraq’s armed forces have improved, but that their current status is not sufficient for the United States "to make major troop withdrawals and still claim success." For that to happen, Cordesman offers several recommendations.
