Issues in International Political Economy: Thoughts on the Credit Crisis

The purpose of this essay is to get some thoughts on the credit crisis into the public domain. The world has many experts who are prepared to comment on the current financial problems. However, none of them has had any practical experience in dealing with a situation in which credit markets have almost completely shut down. Therefore, thoughtful ideas on how best to restore confidence and stimulate credit markers to work efficiently are most welcome.
