Japan Chair Platform: Reflections on Health Reconstruction in Japan after 3-11

On November 3, 2011, CSIS released a report, Partnership for Recovery and a Stronger Future: Standing with Japan after 3-11, summarizing the findings of a task force established to examine ways the United States can partner with Japan in the process of recovery from the tragedies of March 11, 2011 (http://csis.org/publication/partnership-recovery-and-stronger-future). J. Stephen Morrison, senior vice president and director of the Global Health Policy Center at CSIS, led the task force working group on health and recently traveled to Japan to discuss project findings and further engage Japanese counterparts. What follows is a trip report, posted originally on the Global Health Policy Center blog (http://www.smartglobalhealth.org/blog), outlining his major impressions from that visit.
