Network-Centric Security for Canada-U.S. Supply Chains

CSIS and the Vancouver-based Fraser Institute collaborated on a study of innovative ways to enhance just-in-time supply chains using advanced technology and a new approach to public-private partnership in the largest bilateral trading relationship in the world, that between Canada and the United States, where more than $1.8 billion in goods crosses the border every day -- 70 percent by land transport. Author Joel Webber discussed the study, and the global applicability of the model. A panel discussion followed with Nicole Sciara, of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Stephen Flynn of the Council on Foreign Relations and Fred McMahon of the Fraser Institute.
