A new analysis by CSIS Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy Anthony Cordesman explains the military history and capability of Hamas and PIJ, and analyzes the trends in Palestinian Authority forces and other leading Palestinian militant forces. According to Dr. Cordesman the Hamas victory in the January 25 election, "is a clear warning that the Israeli-Palestinian War is far from over, and that the ‘war process’ is as real as the ‘peace process.'"
