Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) approves the government directive to waive off 50 percent of the network charges for rooftop solar consumers in the MSME sector. As per the order, the approved tariff for rooftop solar network charges will decrease from $0.018 per unit to $0.0091 per unit for the MSME sector, with the remaining cost being borne by the state government. Goa reduces road tax for high end vehicles in the state. According to the new reduced slabs, vehicles below $7,203 will pay 6 percent road tax, vehicles below $18,008 will pay 11 percent tax, vehicles below $42,018 will pay 13 percent tax and vehicles costing above $42,018 will pay road tax of 14 percent. Haryana approves the revised Haryana Communication and Connectivity Infrastructure Policy 2023 to enhance the availability of high-quality technology and communication infrastructure throughout the state. The updated policy supersedes the Communication and Connectivity Policy 2017 and aligns with the amended Indian Telegraph Right of Way Rules, as notified by the Union Ministry of Communication (Department of Telecommunications) in 2022. Maharashtra implements the “Stamp Duty Abhay Yojana 2023”. Under the scheme, the government will provide an exemption on stamp duty and penalty for registration of deeds executed between 1980 and 2020. The amnesty scheme will be implemented in two phases from December 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024, and from February 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024.
