Assam approves the Assam Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Facilitation of Establishment & Operation) Rules, 2023. Haryana announces that all restaurants and bars across the state can remain open 24/7. The facilities that wish to remain open 24 hours will have to register with the Labour Department and follow other terms and conditions listed in the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958. Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) issues the Draft Grid Interactive Solar Rooftop Photovoltaic Systems Under Net/Gross Metering Regulations, 2023, under which the net metering upper cap for rooftop solar projects has been reduced from 1 MW to 500 kW, and the gross metering upper cap has been increased from 1 MW to 5 MW. Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) issues a new tariff order, increasing the retail tariffs for the financial year (FY) 2023-24. The Commission has increased the retail electricity tariff for high tension (HT) industrial consumers by 2.2% to ~$0.084/kWh from the earlier ~$0.082/kWh.
