Andhra Pradesh launches the “Jagananna Arogya Suraksha Program”. Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) issues the Draft Green Energy Open Access, Charges, and Banking Regulations, 2023, with the aim of easing the process of granting permission for access to open access electricity generated from renewable energy sources for utilization within the state involving Intra-State Transmission Systems and distribution systems of licensed entities. Uttar Pradesh issues guidelines for the production and sale of biodiesel in the state, legalizing the direct retail sale of biodiesel to consumers. As per the guidelines, producers will be required to set up a laboratory to ensure quality standards. Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission(TSERC) increases the additional surcharge for open access consumers to ~$0.0237/kWh for the second half (2H) of the financial year (FY) 2023-24.
