The Transatlantic Alliance: Is 2004 the Year of the Greater Middle East?

It is the intention of the Bush Administration, however, to seek a greatly expanded role for NATO in Iraq and Afghanistan during 2004, since the Bush Administration does see the “Greater Middle East” as a major new focus for Transatlantic security.
