U.S.-Japan Space Policy: A Framework for 21st Century Cooperation

While various aspects of enhanced cooperation between the United States and Japan have received considerable attention in recent years, there has been a conspicuous absence of analysis and commentary concerning the legacy of and possibilities for American and Japanese bilateral cooperation in space. At the onset of a new strategic era marked by profound international uncertainty, the United States and Japan now stand at a critical juncture in their bilateral relationship.
