Ultimately, a successful policy for our southwest border will need to confront the roots of the migration from Mexico and the Northern Triangle rather than merely seek to address only the symptoms of the problem.
The international community, donors, and civil society must take action in order to halt further precipitation into a one-party autocracy and to preserve the remnants of Cambodian democratic framework that still remain.
