“New Perspectives on Asia” highlights the research of junior CSIS staff on issues that are quietly shaping the world’s most dynamic region. While these staff primarily support CSIS senior scholars in the conceptualization, design, research, and execution of projects that address major challenges and opportunities from Delhi to Darwin, the complex tapestry of the Indo-Pacific contains multiple threads that our junior staff have come to know as well as anyone in the field. In this series, they have identified some of the most interesting themes not yet captured in CSIS programming in order to share their research and insights and to broaden discussions across the center and the policy community at all levels.
Established in Washington, D.C. in 1962, CSIS is a bipartisan, nonprofit policy research organization dedicated to providing strategic insights and policy solutions to help decisionmakers chart a course toward a better world. CSIS does not take specific policy positions; accordingly, all views, positions, and conclusions expressed in this blog should be understood to be solely those of the author(s).
