Commissioner Spotlight: Helene Gayle
July 31, 2009
The Center for Strategic and International Studies has convened a Commission on Smart Global Health. Helene Gayle, President and CEO of CARE, has joined this commission as a co-chair joining 26 prominent American opinion leaders to help chart the future of U.S. global health policy. Please take a moment to watch this short video about our work and sign up for updates:
The global community -- led by the United States -- has made some terrific progress on global health in recent years. But there is still so much work left to be done. We face many challenges in sustaining our efforts over time, coordinating our work with the international community, and focusing on getting real results from our investments in global health.
Our commission is committed to developing practical solutions to these problems. By taking a fresh look at these issues and drawing on the depth and diversity of our commissioners' knowledge, we can figure out what really works, what doesn't, and how to put the best policies into practice.
Thanks,
