2005 PONARS Policy Conference
The day-long Policy Conference is designed to promote greater interaction among members of the academic and policymaking communities working on Russia and Eurasia.
The conference will follow the same format as previous years and will address topics on the foreign policies of Russia and its neighbors, youth issues and social development, democratization throughout the former Soviet Union, security challenges the region poses for the United States, the dangers of conflict in the North Caucasus, and the role of the Russian state in the economy.
Each break-out session will begin with brief presentations by the PONARS panelists and will allow ample time for questions and dialogue among the participants and panel members. There will be coffee breaks after each session and lunch will be provided.
