'Across the Aisle' on Hostage Diplomacy

The Institute of Global Politics at Columbia SIPA hosts an Across the Aisle discussion about the challenge of hostage diplomacy for U.S. foreign policy. Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton will moderate a conversation with CSIS Commission on Hostage Taking and Wrongful Detention co-chair Ambassador Robert O’Brien and executive director Jason Rezaian, as well as Ambassador Roger Carstens, Sean Penn, and Dr. Julia Nesheiwat. Speaking from experience, this bipartisan panel of U.S. diplomats and experts will share their perspectives on the importance of working across the aisle to bring wrongfully detained Americans home.
