AIDS at Home and Abroad: What Will 2012 Teach Us?

In the leadup to AIDS2012, please join CSIS for our second event looking at the future of global HIV/AIDS efforts. Dr. Thomas Frieden, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will outline the current status of the HIV/AIDS pandemic and how U.S. contributions to global HIV/AIDS efforts synergistically tie together with the U.S. domestic response. With only four months until AIDS2012 arrives in Washington, DC, Dr. Frieden will also reflect on the value of the International AIDS Conference as a premier scientific, programmatic, and political forum, and comment on what he hopes will be accomplished at the conference in July.
