APEC 2023: Analysis and Outcomes

November 20, 2023 • 10:00 – 11:00 am EST

Join experts from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) for a virtual event to discuss the 2023 APEC Leaders Summit in San Francisco and the meeting of President Biden and President Xi.

The United States is hosting the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders conference in mid-November 2023, an important opportunity for member economies to advance their policy agendas on topics including trade, supply chains, climate change, and more. President Biden and President Xi met on November 15 for their first in person discussion since meeting on the sidelines of the G20 in Indonesia in November 2022. This meeting served as a key opportunity for stabilizing bilateral relations.

During this event, CSIS China experts – Freeman Chair Jude Blanchette, Trustee Chair Scott Kennedy, and China Power Project Director Bonny Lin - will provide analysis on the summit’s outcomes and what the meeting means for the future of U.S.-China relations.

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
