The event will be webcast live from this page.

The CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development and the Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program are honored to host Ambassador Oksana Markarova, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, for an armchair conversation with Senior Vice President at CSIS, Daniel Runde. The United States’ partnership with Ukraine is now more important than ever, with Russia’s unjust invasion of Ukraine causing humanitarian catastrophe, refugee crisis, and infrastructure damages of outstanding proportions. The U.S.’s recent $40 billion aid package reflects the strength of U.S. commitment to Ukraine’s economic recovery and security. Dr. John Hamre, CSIS President and CEO will make opening remarks and introduce the Ambassador. Ambassador Markarova will then join Daniel Runde to discuss the impact of Russia's unprovoked aggression on Ukraine, the U.S.-Ukraine bilateral relations, and Ukraine’s prospects of EU ascension.

This event was made possible through general support to CSIS.
