July 12th marks the six-month anniversary of the devastating impact of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that destroyed Port au Prince, killing 230,000 people, injuring over 500,000 and displacing a million and a half people.  Six months after one of the largest natural disasters in the Western Hemisphere, it is a timely moment to hold an informed discussion with some of the key stakeholders for Haiti's recovery: the Haitian government, the U.S. government (both civilian and military), the European Union, and the NGO community. This panel examined the humanitarian lessons of the past six months as well as looked toward the future in crafting a long-term development strategy for Haiti, addressing current implementation challenges, and creating an international unity of effort to provide a recovery roadmap for Haiti.
