Assessing South Africa's HIV Progress and Priorities for AIDS 2016 in Durban
Please join us for a discussion of recent developments in South Africa’s fight against HIV, as the country prepares to host the 21st International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2016) in Durban in July. Speakers will assess South Africa’s progress in tackling HIV and reflect upon the remaining challenges, as well as consider how the global platform of AIDS 2016 can be used to galvanize efforts for South Africa, the United States, and the broader international community. The CSIS Global Health Policy Center will also launch a new report, Energizing the Fight Against HIV in South Africa, which draws upon the observations of a Congressional staff delegation to South Africa led by CSIS in February.
Please note, we will meet at the Kaiser Family Foundation, 1330 G St, NW, Washington, DC.
This event is made possible by the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
